What's weird, and also a sad, sad commentary on the state of literature, is that I'm not used to there being this many women to keep track of. Usually there's just the Ditz Girl and the Geeky Girl and maybe the Tomboy, plus the main Love Interest Girl, and that's it.
Also, Sam - one of the ways you could make it easier to remember the characters is to give them...not cliques, but a couple of strong groupings. I only remember John and Cee because I know they're dating, and the whole group of Hanna and the Interns is manageable that way. At least start with the strongest interpersonal connections, and make all the rest of them after that.
