So, this bothered me in the first draft, but not enough for me to say anything:

"Mmhm. I got two degrees," Ian said, holding up two fingers. "Medieval History and Chaucerian Literature. Useful in corporate culture? Not so much."

Sorry Sam, but speaking as a medievalist, there's no such thing as either Chaucerian Lit or a degree in it. If you mean Chaucer+John Gower+Langland etc, you mean high medieval English literature. There's no such word as Chaucerian, either. You can definitely get away with Ian saying that he has degrees in medieval history and Middle English literature: most people whose degrees involved those things will say that instead of anything more technical, and he's not talking to an academic so he wouldn't get technical anyway.

On another note, I loooove the flowers-from-Narnia moment, and I think your revisions helped it make a lot more sense for me, what with the descriptions of Ian and Anna pushing through the coats and so on.
