Forgot what this story was about, sat down to read this section while eating dinner; rather regret that choice. (Eeewwww....)

I love the shift to Italian to talk about Marlowe's death - "curses are better kept secret" indeed, that is after all a significant part of their power, in a place like Railburg. The invisibility, untraceable -- I miss the original title.

Still love the after-hours scene with Noel. I feel like the inherent intimacy of his interactions with Colin have come a little more down-to-earth in this draft? But I don't know exactly what the shift is, or whether I'm imagining it.
