Just out of curiosity, why the downplay of Clare's godparents? In this version Jack's father taught her how to punch, rather than her godfather. Elsewhere, it is mentioned that Jack is is the only family she has. Are you trying to make sure she has less ties in America so she can go with Ellis with more freedom?
