I do think the lack of random fairies makes for a much more streamlined story. :D

I think possibly the whole pencil-pen dichotomy would only confuse a lot of people -- most people don't work as closely with writing implements as artists and draftsmen do, and they're less relevant. I asked someone the other day if they preferred pens or pencils and they just gave me this blank look....
