I was reading this somewhat half-heartedly at first, but I agree with everyone that the last few chapters have been incredibly engaging....
One small thing, I suppose: I'm not sure how much this comment is influenced by the Animagus Winter connection, but Lucas mentions dogs three or four separate times in the beginning of this chapter, and then--dog transformation! I was wondering if the Lucas-dog connection might be foreshadowed somewhat more heavily in earlier chapters, so that it seems less sudden?
