Anyway! Mostly commenting to say I LOVE the whole couch-moving thing. I especially giggled at Jess - "That looks like an awkward place to put a sofa". =D
I noticed your post today, about the work you've put into characterisation, and it's coming through. It's not glaring or obvious, we're not being spoon-fed, but as an example? The bit in this chapter about John's neuroses has filled in some blanks about his personality and his relationship with Cee, and I feel like I know them better. CG might have been hell on earth to rewrite, but whatever you did, it's working!
