LATE REPLY IS SO LATE :D But I did want to respond. Technically within the book Joseph's shadow isn't meant to be fully explained, but really in writing it, I wanted it to be the symbol of Joseph's power, something that could be guided for good or evil depending on the man who owned it.
I definitely need to work on the fight scene, I just SUCK at those so badly :D But I have a couple of ideas in that regard, at least.
