It's been quite a while since I read the first draft of Dead Isle, but this bit stuck with me and I've been looking forward to seeing the revised version. I absolutely love the story about the invasion of Egypt. This is definitely my favorite chapter so far.
I read all of this in a go yesterday and today, so I haven't been participating in the live betaing, but I'll give it a go when I'm rereading this tonight and I'm not on my phone.
